Insect proof mesh may last five to ten years but unfortunately cannot be easily recycled. However, local recycling facilities should be checked. Insect netting made from biodegradable plant starch is now available from Andermatt, itanga ibidukikije byangiza ibidukikije kubarimyi.

However, this size is unreliable in excluding small insects such as aphids, inyenzi, amabuye y'agaciro ya allium na inyenzi.

Mesh nziza: 0.8mm. Good for very small insects such as flea beetles, cabbage whitefly, moth and butterflies, leaf miners (including allium leaf miner), icyatsi kibisi, isazi yumukara, kimwe nisazi yumuzi wa cabage, isazi yigitunguru, isazi yimbuto yibishyimbo na karoti. Inyoni n’inyamabere nazo ntizihari.

Ultrafine mesh: 0.3-0.6mm. Ingano itanga uburinzi bwiza thrips, inyenzi zo mu kirere hamwe nizindi nyamaswa zidafite ubuzima. Inyoni n’udukoko twangiza n’inyamabere nazo ntizihari.

Urushundura: Urushundura rwiza hamwe na mesh 4-7mm rutanga uburinzi bwiza bwo kwirinda ibinyugunyugu byera igihe cyose amababi adakora kuri net, kandi byukuri inyoni ninyamabere.
